America’s Talent Infrastructure for the Semiconductor Era

The semiconductor industry is expanding at unprecedented speed, yet talent remains the defining constraint. Our recent study with McKinsey found that 127,000 to 157,000 workers are needed by 2030. The CHIPS and Science Act accelerated investment. NNME ensures the workforce keeps pace.

ABOUT NNME

America’s Gold Standard for Employer-Aligned Microelectronics Curriculum and Training

The National Network for Microelectronics Education (NNME) is setting America’s gold standard for workforce development in microelectronics. Our mission is clear: to deliver employer-aligned curriculum and modern, work-based learning that prepares all Americans for high-quality careers that advance U.S. innovation and prosperity.

ABOUT REGIONAL NODES

Connecting National Strategy to Regional Action

Each Regional Node is led by a designated lead organization responsible for convening performers and driving execution. Performing organizations can include: postsecondary institutions and training providers, semiconductor employers and industry partners, workforce development organizations, and economic development and community partners.

These partners operate as a coordinated consortium, not as independent efforts. Each Node is accountable for delivering outcomes aligned with national NNME priorities, while responding to the specific needs and strengths of its region.
